Raj Peter Bhakta is the founder of BHAKTA Spirits and WhistlePig Whiskey. After selling his stake in WhistlePig in 2019, Bhakta embarked on a sabbatical in search of new discoveries in the world of spirits. A twist of fate brought him to Condom, France, where he unearthed—and acquired—a miraculous cellar of ancient Armagnac dating back to 1868.
We will be tasting and making cocktails with “1928”! Named “1928” for the oldest vintage of Armagnac in the blend, it also contains 1941, 1962 and 1973, fusing ancient French Armagnacs and Calvados to perfect this Rye whiskey bottled in Vermont.

We are excited to welcome Dan George of T. Edwards! Dan will be mixing negronis made with ingredients (gin, bitters and sweet vermouth) from New York State craft distilleries! You will also have the opportunity to taste through some of Faccia Brutto's organic Italian (but made in New York!) Amaro, Apertivo, and Centerbe, Method's Sweet and Dry Vermouth, Isolation Gin, and several wines. This should be a super fun event!

You will have the option of using a vase for your arrangement or a birch bark planter with oasis. While we can't give you the summer weather in this photo of our July tasting with Chuck, we hope we can give you the same fun time! We are still making decisions about the line-up, but we will definitely be tasting this delicious Carmenère from Lapostolle in Chile which we tasted several months ago at a tasting dinner with the winemaker who was visiting the U.S. It is scrumptious and we can't wait to share it with you! Leah will instruct and assist you in the process, and we will have some yummy snacks as well.
